PainPain... The very essence of this obscure word was revealed and described and experienced in excruciating detail when the old wizened man touched my forehead... I experienced all the aspects that the word meant... the sting of a papercut, the numbness of a lost limb, the rasp of a razor scraping across the skin. I felt my flesh seared from my body and salt rubbed into the exposed muscles... I could feel the pressure of several tons of earth as it slowly squeezes the life from me, my eyes exploding from my head as the pressure becomes to great. The sting of a bee's sting.
